Birthday Weekend

PopPop and Nana arrived Wednesday afternoon, May 1, blessing us so much by their presence, but also with the assistance they provided to our family as we continue to settle in to our new home.

We didn't take very many photos of our time together, but trust me, there were many sweet memories made, especially out in our backyard.

Below: Friday, May 3rd, I baked off some yummy egg puffs for our breakfast.
Friday evening, May 3rd, PopPop and Nana babysat the 3 kids while Matt and I enjoyed a date night. Since it was my 36th birthday, we celebrated by having dinner at Palisade Restaurant in Seattle (thanks to an old gift card that needed to be used). It was a glorious day weather-wise. If you look closely at the photo below, Mt. Rainier was out in its glory on the right and you can see the Space Needle and the downtown Seattle skyline on the left.

My handsome, wonderful date for the special evening.

Above: Matt ordered the macademia nut brie appetizer, pita bread, apple. It also had a balsamic and honey garnish.
Below: I ordered the Avocado and Vine Salad as my start.

Below: I ordered their Prime Rib
Not only was dinner beautiful, it was amazingly delicious. Every bite was savored and enjoyed.

After dinner we met up with my twin sister Molly and her husband Scott in downtown Seattle. Molly and I split Icon Grill's AMAZING hot fudge sundae (not pictured, by the way - this is the dessert we were served for free in celebration of our birthday). The guys enjoyed their strawberry-rhubarb sorbet which was so creamy and delicious.
It was a wonderful 36th birthday. It was a special treat to celebrate it with Molly, too!

A special thanks to PopPop, Nana and Matt - thank you SO MUCH for spoiling me and making me feel so very loved and special.
