Here are some of the latest things about Jay:
- He has two bottom teeth and is drooling lots so we're thinking the top two teeth might make an appearance soon.
- He is getting good at sitting up on his own with little assistance.
- He "discovers" his hand(s) every now and then. He moves the hand slowly and watches it with great interest - like he is seeing it for the first time or something.
- He loves to pick up rattles and shake them, but then releases his grip shortly after.
- When doing "tummy time" he doesn't stay on his tummy long since he quickly decides he'd rather roll over and be on his back.
- He likes to growl and he talks, often saying "ah-ga."
- He has discovered his voice and practices it with screams and yelps.
- He makes his wishes known by whining if you leave a room or place that he liked.
- He likes to stare a person down and when that person finally looks at him, he rewards them with a BIG smile.
- When playing, he sometimes loves to shake his head back and forth quickly (like he is saying no). I guess there is something he finds fun about how things look and feel when he does that.
Me (Mindy) at 6 months
Do you see any resemblance?
Tomorrow is his 6 month pediatrician check-up so I'll post again with his latest stats.

Hi Mindy,
We're in WA for Christmas! I was just showing mom my blog for the week, and she mentioned, "Mindy has a blog! We thought that Jay looked like his Daddy, but then we looked at her photo..." I just hit my bookmark for "Counting our Blessings" and TA DA - there were the photos we had just been talking about! :) Fun. What a sweet boy. Hope to see you soon.
