Weekend of Fun, Family, & Games

Uncle Scott and Aunt Mandy (my brother and sister-in-law) came for a visit this weekend. They arrived last night so we had a fun "catch up" visit till late in the night before calling it a day.

Jay enjoyed opening up his 1st birthday gift from Aunt Mandy and Uncle Scott this morning. Jay loves his new Megablocks dump truck! Thank you!

Aunt Molly (my twin sister) and boyfriend Scott joined us at 9:00 for a french toast, bacon, strawberries, red grapes brunch at 9:00 this morning. Mandy also had made/brought a really yummy coffeecake that was the perfect addition to the meal. Thanks to my good friend Pam for this gorgeous Mommy-versary celebration bouquet that we've been admiring. What a special treat and a beautiful centerpiece for our dining table this weekend!

Nana (Matt's Mom) arrived just before noon and she spent the day with Jay today while this Mom and Dad spent the afternoon away playing. Scott and Mandy, Matt and I, and Molly and Scott enjoyed a Jamba Juice stop before we made our way to the 1:10 PM Seattle Mariners baseball game against the Minnesota Twins. We met up with Mandy's cousin Lisa and her husband Tyson at Safeco Field. The boys enjoyed a beer, the girls enjoyed Lemonade, and we all shared an order of Garlic Fries. Yum! And to top the afternoon off the Mariners won the game - 2 to 1! Hooray! Is was also a perfect weather day to enjoy a baseball game. (It was cloudy with a high of 68 degrees - not too hot, not too cold.)

After the game the eight of us enjoyed a dinner out together that was filled with lots of laughter and fun.

We got back home about 7:15 PM to relieve Nana of babysitting duties. (Thanks so much, Nana! What a blessing you are to us!) I gave Jay a bath, put him in his pjs, and put him to sleep by 8:15 PM.

We're all just lounging and relaxing tonight after a fun-filled full day!

Thanks for the great time today everyone!!
